April 14, Fineko/abc.az. In March 2021, Azerbaijan generated 2.364 bn kWh of electricity (65.8 million kWh more versus March 2020).

ABC.AZ was informed at the Ministry of Energy that the country exported 175.1 million kWh and imported 11.0 million kWh of electricity last month.

Over Jan-Mar 2021 Azerbaijan’s electricity generation totaled 6.924 bn.

Electricity generation at thermal power plants decreased by 59.1 million kWh to 6.6 bn kWh, at electric supply systems increased by 15.69 million kWh up to 236.09 million kWh, and on other sources decreased by 4.7 million kWh to 84.9 million kWh for Jan-Mar 2021 (versus the same term of 2020).

During this period 22.56 million kWh of electricity was generated at wind power plants, 9.2 million kW/h at solar power plants and 53.14 million kWh at the solid waste incineration plant.
