April 22, Fineko/abc.az. As of 31 March 2021 the European Bank for Reconstruction & Development’s (EBRD) asset portfolio in Azerbaijan amounted to EUR 1.201 bn (including unpaid liabilities) on 35 projects.

This figure increased by 4.2% compared to the latest figure provided by the bank. And the number of active projects has grown from 34 up to 35.

ABC.AZ informs that this is stated in EBRD’s report.

It was noted that 78% of the portfolio (EUR 939 million) consists of investments in sustainable infrastructure, 20% (EUR 240 million) – investments in industry, trade and agribusiness, and 2% (EUR 21 million) - in financial institutions. Bank's operating assets in the country increased by 3.9% up to EUR 1.059 bn.

Thus, to date, the EBRD has invested EUR 3.189 bn in Azerbaijan within 175 projects and 84.2% (EUR 2.68 bn) has already been spent by borrowers. 22% of the total investments accounted for the private sector.
