Growth in insurance sector – payment of compensations and premiums increased

April 26, Fineko/abc.az. In the period from January to March of this year 20 insurance companies of Azerbaijan accrued AZN 248.989 million of premiums, ABC.AZ was informed at the Central Bank.

During this period the compensations were paid in the total amount of AZN 145.345 million (a rised against the same term of 2020).

Thus, the collected premiums amounted to AZN 8.225 million or 3.4% and compensation payments increased by 1.9 times.

Thus, over Jan-Mar 2020 there were gathered AZN 240.76 million of premiums and paid AZN 77.9 million of compensations.
