Oil rises in price after publication of data on U.S. stocks, and Brent is at $67.47 a barrel

April 29, Fineko/abc.az. Oil prices of standard grades are increasing in Thursday’s trading after the publication of data from the U.S. Department of Energy on energy reserves in the U.S.

By 9 am, in the trading at the London ICE Futures Exchange the June’s Brent crude futures fell by $0.20 (0.30%) to $67.47 per barrel. Following the trading on 28 April the price of Brent crude oil futures for June grew by $0.85 (1.28%) up to $67.27 per barrel.

By 9 am, at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) the price of the June’s WTI oil futures rose by $0.17 (0.27%) up to $64.03 per barrel. At the end of trading on 28 April the WTI futures for June increased in price by $0.92 (1.46%) up to $63.86 per barrel.

According to the U.S. Department of Energy, country’s commercial oil reserves grew by 90,000 barrels and gasoline inventories by 92,000 barrels, while commercial distillate stocks decreased by 3.34 million barrels last week.

According to Bloomberg, experts predicted a decrease in oil reserves by 450,000 barrels, a decrease in gasoline reserves by 50,000 barrels and a drop in distillate reserves by 1.24 million barrels.
