May 21, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Apr 2021 the loan portfolio of the European Bank for Reconstruction & Development (EBRD) in Azerbaijan amounted to EUR 1.153 bn, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the EBRD.

The Bank noted that the loan portfolio is intended for the implementation of 35 programs.

78% of the loan portfolio (EUR 899 million) was directed for investments in sustainable infrastructure, 20% (EUR 234 million) for investments in the industrial sector, trade and agriculture, and 2% (EUR 20 million) for investments in financial institutions.

Last year, the EBRD allocated EUR 17 million of loans for the implementation of six projects in Azerbaijan, and over the past four years this figure totaled EUR 857 million on 34 projects.

In total, from 1992 to the present day the EBRD has invested about EUR 3.2 bn in 175 projects in Azerbaijan.
