Memo signed by results of meeting of Azerbaijani-Iranian state commission

March 15, Fineko/abc.az. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed by results of the 12th meeting of the Azerbaijani-Iranian State Commission on Cooperation in the Economic, Commercial and Humanitarian Spheres held in Tehran.

Azerbaijan's Ministry of Economy reports that yesterday the memorandum was signed by the co-chairs of the State Commission - the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev and the Minister of Economy and Finance of Iran Masud Karbasian.

"The Memorandum of Understanding provides for the expansion of cooperation in the spheres of economy, trade, business, industry, agriculture, banking, transport, communications and high technologies, energy, customs and borders, water and environment, youth and sport, science and education, health , culture and tourism, etc.," the message says.

The document emphasizes that bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Iran are based on fundamental norms and principles of international law, including the principles of respect for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of countries, and notes that the activities of individuals and legal entities of the two countries are provided in accordance with these principles and national legislation.
