Population rapidly gets poorer in Georgia

June 2, Fineko/abc.az. The poverty rate of the population in Georgia in 2020 was 21.3%, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the National Statistical Service of Georgia.

For comparison, the figure is by 1.8% more than in 2019.

The working-age population in Georgia decreased by 3% compared with 2019 and reached 48.3% in 2020.

Country’s unemployment rate was 20.4% for 2020.
