June 4, Fineko/abc.az. President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order on the additional measures aimed at improving the provision of irrigation water to the acreage in the Agjabadi and Barda districts and to meet the population's drinking water needs.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the order, for the purpose of designing and drilling 20 sub-artesian wells to improve the provision of irrigation water to the cultivated areas and used for sowing farmland in 18 settlements of the Agjabadi and Barda districts with the population of 37,061 people, as well as to meet the needs of the population in drinking water from the amount specified in sub-item 1.8.8 "Distribution of funds provided in Azerbaijan’s State Budget 2021 for state capital investments (investment expenditures)”, he Azerbaijan Land Reclamation & Water Management Company was allocated AZN 1.4 million.

The Ministry of Finance is tasked to provide financing of this amount, and the Cabinet Ministers to resolve issues arising from this order.
