June 10, Fineko/abc.az. The volume of industrial goods produced in Azerbaijan by industrial enterprises and individual entrepreneurs working in this field amounted to AZN 18.8 bn for Jan-May 2021 (2.2% less versus the same term of 2020).

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that this reduction was caused by decrease in production in the oil & gas sector by 5.2%.

62.5% of industrial output was manufactured in the mining sector, 5.5% in the sector of generation, distribution and supply of electricity, gas & steam, 0.8% in the water supply, waste treatment and recycling sector. In the mining sector, commercial oil production decreased by 5.9%, while commercial natural gas production increased by 7.7%.

In generation, distribution and supply of electricity, gas & steam the generation increased by 0.1% and in the water supply, waste treatment and recycling sector by 7.6%.
