Israel bans sale of natural fur

June 11, Fineko/abc.az. Israel has banned the sale of natural fur, ABC.AZ reports with reference to The Jerusalem Post.

Israeli Environment Minister Gila Gamliel has signed a document banning the sale of animal fur for clothing production in the country.

She stated that "the fur industry is responsible for the deaths of hundreds of millions of animals worldwide and brings untold cruelty and suffering."

The amendment will come into force in six months, in December.
