June 11, Fineko/abc.az. The average monthly nominal salary of employees in the country's economy amounted to 722.3 manats for Jan-Apr 2021, according to the State Statistics Committee.

ABC.AZ informs that for the reported term the average monthly nominal salary was higher in the mining industry, financial and insurance activities, professional, scientific and technical activities, information and communication, as well as in transport and storage facilities.

As of 1 May 2021 the number of employees in the country's economy increased by 2,300 people or 0.1% (against Jan-Apr 2020) up to 1,678,400 people, including 913,600 people in the public sector and 764,800 in the non-state sector.
