Saudi Arabia's economy lags behind by 3%

June 14, Fineko/abc.az. The General Authority for Statistics (GaStat) of Saudi Arabia has published data for the 1st quarter of this year.

ABC.AZ reports that Kingdom's GDP decreased by 3% versus Q1 of 2020).

In digital terms GDP for the 1st quarter of 2021 reached $188.3 bn at current prices and $169.2 bn at constant prices.

The negative indicator is mainly linked with a 11.7% lag in the oil sector.

In the non-oil sector, on the contrary, the growth was 2.9%.
