Startups that raised most of all investments in Europe

June 18, Fineko/abc.az. Investments in European startups are booming.

ABC.AZ reports that for the first 5 months of 2021 the startups in Europe raised a record amount of 43.8 bn euro ($60.9 bn).

The figure also surpassed the venture capital of 38.5 bn euro, raised on the basis of 5,200 deals in 2020. This has already broken set a new record with 2,700 funding documents in the 1st half of this year.

Swedish trading platform Klarna "Buy now, Pay Later", German stock trading software Trade Republic, and UK’s online payment supplier Checkout.com became the most attractive for financing.

Swedish payments company Klarna has raised more than $1.6 bn in two rounds of financing in 2021, German trade app Trade Republic $900 million and UK’s payment provider Checkout.com $450 million.
