March 27, Fineko/abc.az. Analytical agency Turstat made rating of the countries of inbound tourism to Russia by the end of 2017.

According to Turstat, the number of entry trips to Russia from Azerbaijan reached 876,000 in 2017, and the total number of entry tourist trips from Russia exceeded 24 million last year.

Azerbaijan occupied the 5th place on the number of entry tourist trips to Russia in 2017.

Top 10 of countries on the number of incoming tourist trips to Russia included Ukraine (8.7 million trips), Kazakhstan (3.5 million), China (1.5 million), Finland (1 million), Azerbaijan (876,000), Poland (714,000), Armenia (584,000), Germany (580,000), Moldova (519,000) and Abkhazia (432,000).

China (1.5 million) took the 1st place on growth of tourism from abroad to Russia in 2017 with an increase of 189,000 trips (+15%) compared to 2016. The 2nd place belongs to South Korea (254,000), from where the number of trips was by 93,000 (+58%) more than in 2016.
