Oil gets cheaper, and Brent is at $73.23 a barrel

July 8, Fineko/abc.az. Prices for oil of standard grades keep on declining in Thursday’s trading after significant drop the day before.

By 11:15 am, at the London ICE Futures Exchange the September’s Brent crude futures fell in price by $0.20 (0.27%) to $73.23 per barrel. Following the trading on 7 July the Brent crude futures for September decreased by $1.10 (1.48%) to $73.43 per barrel.

By 11:15 am, at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) the price of the August’s WTI oil futures declined by $0.21 (0.29%) to $71.99 per barrel. Following the trading on 7 July the WTI futures for August fell in price by $1.17 (1.59%) to $72.20 per barrel.

All the market's attention is focused on data on energy stocks in the U.S., this week they will be published a day later than usual, since Monday was a red-letter day in the country.

The data from the American Petroleum Institute showed a decrease in oil reserves in the U.S. last week by 7.983 million barrels. The fall is recorded for the seventh week running.
