July 8, Fineko/abc.az. The data of Henley & Partners’ World Passport Index for the 3rd quarter has been published.

According to Henley & Partners, Japan ranks 1st in the passport index.

Japanese citizens can visit 193 countries of the world without visa. Singapore ranks 2nd (192 countries), while S Korea and Germany (191 countries each) share the 3rd position.

Azerbaijan occupies the 80th place in the updated Henley & Partners Visa Restrictions Index rating.

"Azerbaijani passport holders can travel without a visa to 68 countries of the world," the published data says.

The last, 109th place in the ranking is occupied by Afghanistan. Citizens of this country can visit 26 countries of the world without visa.

The company says that, despite some progress in vaccinating the global population, international mobility has been restored only by 12% from the level of 2019.

” The gap between the theoretical capabilities of passports and the actual access to travel remains significant," Henley & Partners emphasizes.

Henley&Partners' Global Visa Restrictions Index analyzes the visa rules of more than 200 countries and territories of the world and ranks them by the number of visa-free entry countries.
