BioNTech-Pfizer developed vaccine against COVID-19 delta strain

July 9, Fineko/abc.az. German company BioNTech, which together with its American partner Pfizer developed a vaccine against the coronavirus Comirnaty, created a special drug against the delta strain of the coronavirus.

ABC.AZ reports that this is said in company's statement.

"The companies will develop an updated version of BioNTech-Pfizer coronavirus vaccine to be also effective against the delta variant," the statement says.

At that, it is specified that the first batch of mRNA vaccine for testing was produced at the BioNTech plant in Mainz (Germany).
