July 22, Fineko/abc.az. Over the past period of this year 20,612 tons of products were harvested in Goychay greenhouses, and currently the harvesting continues, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Goychay district executive authority.

It was noted that there are 5,550 greenhouses in Goychay.

The sowing in those farms is carried out on an area of 277.5 hectares. Entrepreneurs mainly grow tomatoes and cucumbers. Over the past period of 2021, 19,200 tons of tomatoes were harvested from an area of 255.4 ha, and 1412 tons of cucumbers from an area of 22.1 hectares. About 10% of the products harvested so far are supplied to the markets of Russia and Ukraine. The rest is exported to local markets. Currently, the wholesale price of tomatoes and cucumbers in the district is 15-30 gapiks.
