President got acquainted with the airport in Naftalan

July 22, Fineko/abc.az. President Ilham Aliyev visited Naftalan Airport on 22 July.

ABC.AZ reports that the head of state was provided with information about the airport.

It was noted that the construction of Naftalan Airport began in 1975 and was put into operation in 1977.

The airport’s activity was stopped in 1997.

According to the documents, the port area is 47 hectares, and the actual fenced territory is 58.8 ha.

The length of the airport's runway is 1,370 m and the width is 35 m.
