ABC.AZ reports that President Ilham Aliyev stated about this in an interview for Azerbaijani television on 23 July.

The head of state noted that this issue was discussed during Charles Michel's visit to Azerbaijan: "I tried to explain that we have reached our border. Why were they released in May? Because the snow has melted. There was snow 2 or 3 m thick. It was impossible to get out there. As soon as the snow melted, we went out, took the necessary points, settled down, we are strengthening and will strengthen there."
