Azerbaijan's non-oil exports increased by 30.5% for past 7 months

August 6, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Jul 2021 Azerbaijan's exports reached $11.4 bn and non-oil exports $1.4 bn, ABC.AZ was informed at the Center for Analysis & Communication of Economic Reforms.

Non-oil exports grew by $316.7 million or 30.5% compared with the same term of 2020.

For the past 7 months of 2021 the main share in non-oil exports of fruit and vegetable products amounted to $338 million.

For the relevant period the non-oil sector recorded a rise on exports of ferrous metals and products made from them by 2.4 times, cotton yarn by 2.8 times, sugar by 2.3 times, chemical industry products by 37%, cotton fiber by 88.5%, aluminum and products made from it by 42%.

While the normalization process continues, exports as of July amounted to $2.6 bn. In July 2021 the growth of non-oil exports made up 55.7% and reached $192 million.

In July 2021 food exports increased by 6% (compared with July 2020) up to $43 million and non-food products by 80.1% up to $149 million.
