A meeting on construction of Parsabad railway cargo terminal held in Tehran

August 6, Fineko/abc.az. On 5 August, a meeting was held in Tehran between officials of Iran and Azerbaijan in connection with the construction of the Parsabad railway cargo terminal between the two countries.

ABC.AZ reports that the meeting was attended by Azerbaijan’s Deputy PM Shahin Mustafayev, Iranian Parliament’s Deputy Speaker Ali Nikzad and officials of the Ardabil province.

During the meeting Shahin Mustafayev said that he would try to speed up the work related to the Parsabad railway cargo terminal.

Parliament’s Deputy Speaker Nikzad also spoke about the work done for the project of creating a railway cargo terminal: "The roadmap has been prepared, studies have been conducted. Within the framework of the project, 4 km of railways will be built, and 10 km of roads will be repaired. This work was taken over by the Azerbaijani side. A railway line to Tazakend will be laid on the territory of Iran."

The two countries signed a joint agreement on the construction of a railway terminal in Parsabad.
