August 6, Fineko/abc.az. As of 1 July of this year the number of Azerbaijani citizens who are employees of BP reached 2,344 people (5.6% less than on 1 July 2020).

ABC.AZ reports with reference to BP-Azerbaijan that the quantity of employees also includes employees working on the basis of a fixed-term contract.

"Since mid-2018, 90% of qualified BP employees are national personnel. And unskilled workers are 100% made up of local citizens. BP will continue its efforts to further optimize its training and development programs, and will actively participate in public and private sector initiatives to further improve the local market for highly qualified personnel," the company stated.
