Whatsapp company fined

September 2, Fineko/abc.az. Whatsapp has been fined a large amount.

ABC.AZ reports that the Irish Data Protection Commission has announced the completion of the Whatsapp-regarding investigation has been ongoing since 2018.

The statement says that the company violated the general data protection legislation in Europe (GDPR).

The statement says that Whatsapp does not provide citizens of the European Union with accurate and detailed information about the purposes for which their personal data is used and at what level this data should be transferred to Facebook.

As a result, the global message service was fined 225 million euro ($267 million).
