Toyota Motor to reduce production in Czech Republic

September 6, Fineko/abc.az. Japanese carmaker Toyota Motor has resumed production of cars at the plant in the city of Kolin in the Central Czech Republic on Monday after a three-week break.

As the official representative of the plant's directorate Tomasz Paroubek told reporters, Toyota Motor will soon again limit production by half due to shortage of electronic components.

"At the plant, the summer vacation period ended on 15 August, but due to lack of electronic components, it was extended for another 3 weeks. The production line was launched on Monday. There are still not enough electronic components. Because of this, instead of producing about 1,000 cars every day, as it was usual, the plant will operate only at 40- 50% of its capacity," Paroubek said.
