September 10, Fineko/abc.az. The State Statistics Committee has published statistical data for Jan-Jul of this year.

ABC.AZ reports that as of 1 August 2021 the number of employees in the country's economy reached 1.689 million people (a rise of 8,500 people or 0.5% against Jan-Jul 2020).

Of them, 905,400 people worked in the state sector of the economy and 784,300 ones in the non-state sector.

Of the employees, 19.2% were employed in education, 18.6% in trade; vehicle repair, 12.8% - industry, 8.2% - health and social services to the population, 7.6% - in construction, 6.6% - in public administration and defense; social security, 4.4% - in transport and warehousing, 3.5% - in professional, scientific and technical activities, 3.4% - in agriculture, forestry and fishing, 1.8% - in finance and insurance, and 13.9% were employed in other sectors of the economy.
