A Russian private company plans to send satellites

September 21, Fineko/abc.az. Sputnix (Russia) plans to launch small spacecraft within the Space-Pi program, including for automatic identification of ships (AIS).

According to Sputnix, the launch with the participation of spacecraft within the framework of project Space-Pi is currently scheduled for the 1st quarter of 2022.

At the moment, regular preparation of spacecraft is underway within the project of the Space-Pi Innovation Promotion Fund, including satellites for AIS.

"Payloads are being integrated with satellite platforms," Sputnix reported.

The devices will be ready for launch by the end of this year. They will go into orbit as a passing load.
