Shell sells facilities in Permian basin for $9.5 bn


September 21, Fineko/abc.az. Royal Dutch Shell has made a decision to sell the most important oil refining facilities in the Permian Basin in North America to ConocoPhillips for $9.5 bn.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to Bloomberg that Shell is committed to reducing carbon emissions and investing more in the field of renewable energy production.

The company bought the facilities in the Permian Basin in 2012 from Chesapeake Energy for $1.9 bn.
