U.S. Federal Reserve has kept base rate


September 23, Fineko/abc.az. The U.S. Federal Reserve System (FRS) has kept the interest rate on federal funds in the range from 0% to 0.25% per annum.

The decision coincided with the forecasts of analysts and market participants.

The Federal Reserve announced that it will continue to buy back assets totaling $120 billion on a monthly basis, including US Treasuries for $80 billion and mortgage bonds for $40 billion.

At the same time, the report of the American Central Bank notes that in the near future it may be necessary to reduce the volume of asset repurchases.
