Central Bank’s chair says of no fundamental reasons for fall of manat

April 9, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) is quite optimistic on the occasion of the exchange rate of the manat.

CBA chair Elman Rustamov has declared that there is no fundamental ground for prediction of weakening of the manat rate to the US dollar.

"Taking into account the formed environment, in particular the stable macroeconomic situation, foreign exchange reserves, which increased by 25%, exceeding of the supply of real demand in currency auctions, it is not clear where such rumors come from," Rustamov said.
