September 24, Fineko/abc.az. In the 1st half of 2021 gold production reached 24,249 ounces (in the 1st half of 2020: 27,922 ounces), copper – 1,333 tons (in the 1st half of 2020: 1,207 tons), silver – 78,981 ounces (in the 1st half of 2020: 58,529 ounces).

ABC.AZ reports that in the 1st half of 2021 Anglo Asian Mining plc sold 19,582 ounces (for the same period of last year: 23,979 ounces) of gold bars, the company said in a statement. Each ounce of gold was sold for an average of $1,776 (1st half of 2020 – $1,649).

Rza Vaziri, the company's CEO, said in a statement: "I am pleased to present the results of our semi-annual activities. Company's total profit in the 1st half of 2021 decreased compared with the previous year, but the results are in line with expectations, and we expect the financial performance to improve in the 2nd half of 2021. Our financial position remains strong."
