Central Bank’s chair: inflation in Azerbaijan made up 4% in Q1%

April 9, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani population’s income increased by 10.2% for Jan-Feb of the year.

Elman Rustamov, chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), has stated that in the 1st quarter country’s inflation in the country reached 4%.

"In particular, foods rose by 4%, non-foods by 4.3%, and services by 2.9%. The stability of the exchange rate, optimal management of the money supply, dynamics of food prices around the world and decline of inflation expectations have become the causes of one-digit level of inflation," Rustamov said.

He pointed out that decline in inflation supports real growth of population’s income, which increased by 10.2% for Jan-Feb 2018.
