October 1, Fineko/abc.az. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and an international donor will allocate 12.5 million euro to Azerbaijan for improvement of the lighting system of the city of Ganja, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the EBRD.

The bank and the donor will support the modernization of the lighting system in Ganja. In particular, the EBRD will give a 10 million euro loan for this project, and the international donor will award a grant of 2.5 million euro. The beneficiary of the project is production association Ganja City Housing & Communal Service.

Within the framework of the project, the preparation of which is at the final stage, the following work is envisaged: modernization of the street lighting network on some streets of Ganja, including the introduction of automated lighting control and monitoring systems, replacement of poles and power cables.
