MPs propose to mark October 18 as a holiday

October 11, Fineko/abc.az. "If we celebrate May 28 as a public holiday, then October 18 should also be a non-working day."

ABC.AZ reports that such a proposal was made by MP Vahid Akhmedov.

He noted that since 1918 a government has been formed in Azerbaijan, diplomatic relations have been established: "Unfortunately, the democratic republic was able to exist for only 23 months. In 1991, the Independence Day was marked as a Constitutional Act. At that, the current MPs played a big role. Why did Azerbaijan restore its independence late? Because at that time the Communist Party did not recognize the independence of Azerbaijan. Speech was about independent MPs. You know, it's easy to talk now."
