October 12, Fineko/abc.az. This year, it is planned to build 13 automatic hydrological stations to control water resources in the territories of Azerbaijan, liberated from occupation.

ABC.AZ reports Deputy Minister of Ecology & Natural Resources Rauf Hajiyev made such a statement, when delivering speech at the 1st German-Azerbaijani Forum on Sustainable Development 2021 in Baku.

He said that up to 40% of the country's mineral water reserves are located in the Eastern Zangezur and Karabakh economic zones.

"Here natural mineral waters can be used for medicinal purposes. And the use of underground thermal waters, which are an eco-friendly source of energy in the region, is of great importance," Hajiyev said.
