October 12, Fineko/abc.az. Since the beginning of this October the Caucasian Interregional Department of Rosselkhoznadzor has monitored the import of 4,626.7 tons of fresh vegetables and fruits from Azerbaijan and Iran, ABC.AZ reports with reference to Rosselkhoznadzor.

Viaduct temporary storage warehouse and the Derbent railway station received 1,328.4 tons of vegetables (potatoes, peppers, garlic, cucumbers, herbs, etc) and 3,298.3 tons of fruits (strawberries, tangerines, apples, pomegranates, grapes, etc). In the course of control measures the inspectors did not allow 4 shipments of goods infected with harmful objects to be imported into the territory of the Russian Federation.

Among the products not allowed are 2.6 tons of strawberries from Azerbaijan, as well as 20 tons of apples from Iran, 17.2 tons of cauliflower and 16.5 tons of pepper.

The total volume of products not allowed to the Russian market is 56.3 tons.
