Chip crisis has also hit the giant company

October 13, Fineko/abc.az. Apple will adjust its production targets for the new iPhone 13 due to the ongoing shortage of chips for the devices.

Apple will have to reduce the production targets for iPhone 13 this year by 10 million devices at once.

"The company expected to produce 90 million new iPhone models in the last three months of the year, but now informs manufacturing partners that the total volume will be lower because Broadcom Inc. and Texas Instruments Inc. are struggling to supply a sufficient number of components," Bloomberg reports.

Apple is one of the main buyers of chips in the world, but despite its significant purchasing power, it faces the same problems as other electronics manufacturers.

Meanwhile, according to the agency, the main chip manufacturers have warned that demand will continue to outpace supply next year, and possibly longer.
