New requirements defined in connection with imported potatoes

October 14, Fineko/abc.az. The new requirements have been established for seed and food potatoes imported in Azerbaijan, ABC.AZ reports citing AQTA chairman Goshgar Tahmazli, while saying at a press conference devoted to Agency's activity for Jan-Sept 2021.

The new requirements were presented to the countries exporting products to Azerbaijan.

Tahmazli said that the main import requirements will be defined on content of harmful organisms in agricultural products as a whole starting from the autumn season and this may lead to an increase in the validity period of phytosanitary certification: tomatoes 25, potatoes 25, onions 20, peaches and nectarines 19, apples, pears, apricots, cherries, plums 18, pomegranates and cranberries 12, dates 10.
