Azerbaijan and Turkey sign gas supply agreement


October 15, Fineko/abc.az. A gas supply agreement has been signed between Azerbaijan and Turkey.

ABC.AZ reports that this was announced by Turkish Minister of Energy & Natural Resources Fatih Donmez.

According to the minister, Azerbaijan and Turkey have signed an agreement on the supply of an additional 11 bn cu m of natural gas via Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum, which will be valid until the end of 2024.

The minister noted that Turkey has made significant progress in securing additional supplies of natural gas.

"Negotiations are progressing successfully to meet the demand for natural gas, which is likely to increase with the approach of winter," Donmez emphasized.
