Election Committee: Ilham Aliyev collected 86.09% of votes

April 12, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Election Committee (CEC) of Azerbaijan has announced the initial results of yesterda’s presidential election.

CEC chair Mezahir Panakhov said that the majority of votes was gathered by Ilham Aliyev, the candidate from ruling party Yeni Azerbaijan (New Azerbaijan).

"Ilham Aliyev received 86.09% of the votes," Panakhov stressed.
