1,900 Azerbaijanis moved to live abroad last year

April 12, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan registered 3,100 people who moved to live in the country for the past year.

Tahir Budagov, the head of the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, stated that the Azerbaijani population increased by 0.9% or 88,100 people up to 9,898,100 people by 1 January 2018.

"It gladdens that the migration balance in the country remains positive, so last year 1,900 people left the country for permanent residence abroad, while 3,100 people came here for permanent residence," Budagov added.
