Azerbaijan, Iran and Russia to discuss in Baku matter of interconnection of electric power systems

April 12, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan and Iran discussed the question of joint cooperation in the energy sector and the issue of transit to third countries.

The Ministry of Energy informs that the issues were covered during the visit of Azerbaijani Deputy Energy Minister Natik Abbasov to the Ministry of Energy of Iran.

"In the course of the meeting, an agreement was reached to hold a trilateral meeting in Baku on 26 April to unite the electric power systems of Azerbaijan, Iran and Russia. The sides also exchanged views on the development of the electricity corridor Iran-Azerbaijan-Georgia and the need for a trilateral meeting," the Ministry reported.
