Finance Minister: Basis created for growth of Oil Fund assets

November 16, Fineko/abc.az. Finance Minister Samir Sharifov raised a range of issues at the plenary session of Milli Majlis.
 
ABC.AZ reports that the minister noted that for Jan-Sept of this year the forecast on budget revenues from tax and customs authorities has already been fulfilled by 20.2% and 12.4%, respectively.
 
"This means additional finances in the amount of AZN 1.67 bn respectively. Due to significant increase in sales prices for crude oil compared with the forecast, along with the State Budget revenues, the basis has been laid for the growth of assets of the State Oil Fund (SOFAZ)," the minister said.
