Security Service: Provocative information distributors bear responsibility

In connection with some provocations committed by units of the Armenian Armed Forces on the state border in recent days, a number of mass media and social media resources publish information that does not reflect the truth, with the aim of causing panic among the population, misleading public opinion.
 
ABC.AZ was informed at the State Security Service that the replication of such biased, false and contributing to the formation of a false opinion in society news entails liability in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
 
"We urge our citizens not to believe unfounded, without coordination with the relevant state bodies, without references to official sources of information that harms the national security and interests of Azerbaijan," the State Security Service said in a statement.
