Apple products risen in price in Turkey by 17%

November 24, Fineko/abc.az. The rapid decline of the Turkish lira has recently begun to have an impact on some goods. ABC.AZ reports that it has become cheaper to buy Apple products in this country than to bring them from abroad. Since the US dollar exchange rate has increased by 80% compared with the beginning of the year and currently reaches 13 liras, the import of iPhone from the U.S. previously cost 20-35% cheaper than buying in Turkey, now, on the contrary, 17% more expensive. So, today such models as iPhone 13 Mini (11,000-14,000 liras), iPhone 13 (12,000-15,000 liras), iPhone 13 Pro (16,000-21,000 liras), iPhone 13 Max (18,000-23,000 liras) are sold in Turkey at price $700-1,000, $800-1,100, $1,000-1,500, $1,100-1,600 accordingly) lower by 8-15, 11-17, 1-10, 0-7%, respectively. Also, new MacBook Pro models are sold in the U.S. for $2,000-3,500, and in Turkey - for $1,800-3,077. By Elmir Muradov
