Infection found in potatoes from Iran

December 3, Fineko/abc.az. Inspectors of the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency (AQTA) inspected batches of potato products with total weight of 23.6 tons imported by AGR GROUP LLC from Iran.

ABC.AZ reports that during the inspection, samples of imported products were selected and brought for examination in the appropriate laboratory of the Azerbaijan Institute of Food Safety.

As a result of research, a quarantine organism was found in the samples (Ralstonia solanacearum - brown rot of potatoes).

The Agency has decided to return to the Islamic Republic of Iran the unsuitable batches of food potatoes with a total weight of 23.6 tons.
