Barcodes can be applied to fruits and vegetables exported from Azerbaijan to Russia

December 3, Fineko/abc.az. The Federal Service for Veterinary & Phytosanitary Surveillance of the Russian Federation (Rosselkhoznadzor) has proposed that the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency (AQTA), when integrating the information systems of the phytosanitary services of the two countries, switch to GS1 bar coding standards for labeling packages with fruit and vegetable products.

ABC.AZ reports that with such coding, a barcode is applied to the packaging, when reading which you can get basic information about the cargo, in particular, about its manufacturer, the date of production and some other information.
