Oil rises in value, and Brent is at $76.42 a barrel

December 9, Fineko/abc.az. Prices for oil of standard grades are increasing in Thursday’s trading amid the U.S. Department of Energy’s data about the decline in country’s oil reserves.

By 10:45 am, at the London ICE Futures Exchange the February’s Brent crude futures grew by $0.60 (0.79%) up to $76.42 per barrel. Following the trading on 8 December, the price of Brent crude futures for February grew by $0.38 (0.50%) up to $75.82 per barrel.

By 10:45 am, at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) the WTI oil futures for January rose in price by $0.72 (1.0%) up to $73.08 per barrel. Following the trading on 8 December, the price of January’s WTI oil futures increased by $0.31 (0.43%) up to $72.36 per barrel.

The U.S. Department of Energy informs that country’s commercial oil reserves decreased last week by 241,000 barrels to 432.87 million barrels. Gasoline inventories grew by 3.88 million barrels up to 219.3 million barrels. Commercial distillate stocks increased by 2.73 million barrels up to 126.6 million barrels.
