December 10, Fineko/abc.az. Russian company Qiwi, which renders payment and financial services, will soon begin its activities in the banking sector of the country within the framework of cooperation with one of the largest banks in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that the relevant statement was made by Roman Cherkaev, the director of the Qiwi Financial Services Sales Department.

He noted that the planned cooperation will significantly simplify payments for the clients of this Azerbaijani bank.

But since a full agreement has not yet been reached, the name of the bank in question is not disclosed.

"I believe that positive and steady growth is expected in the banking sector of your country from angle of high-tech digital payment instruments," he added.

Cherkayev noted that new projects and related agreements are expected to be concluded thanks to the 5th International Banking Forum "Cashless Economy".
