December 13, Fineko/abc.az. Residential buildings, staircases, stairwells, exits and entrances, corridors, open passages, ramps, elevators, entrance doors to apartments where disabled people live should be reasonably adapted for convenient and safe movement of disabled people in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that this is reflected in Standard "Residential buildings. Design standards", approved by the Collegiate Organ of the State Committee for Urban Planning Architecture.

In addition, according to the document, residential buildings intended for the elderly should consist of maximum of nine floors, and buildings intended for families with disabilities - maximum of five floors.

And in other residential buildings, apartments for the disabled are recommended to be placed on the ground floor.
